Key west fishing charters
For some reason it has become common practice to for some center consoles to run split fishing charters. This is where the cost of the charters is divided between 4-6 people. This practice started on the bigger trolling boats, where they have five or six chairs to sit in. You are usually assigned a chair and rod. Trolling boats have no problems fishing five or six lines at a time. It is not uncommon in this situation for the wrong person to catch the right fish: i.e. do you want to catch the fish of a lifetime, or watch a total stranger catch it?
On Too Lethal the fishing trips are customized, you participate and have a say in what species are targeted. It’s like you own the boat for the day.
Another downside to doing split charters on light tackle boats is when someone catches a big fish we either chase the fish down or the fish runs you round and round the boat (fish don’t swim in straight lines). During tarpon season a 100 lb fish could easily take an hour to catch.
Once again: do you want to catch the fish of a lifetime, or watch a total stranger catch it?
